Wykeum A. Gilyard is the Managing Principal, CEO, & Founder of Gilyard Group. The Gilyard Group is a global provider of diverse management, policy, and risk consulting services. Gilyard Group is dedicated to helping government agencies, associations, organizations, and businesses both large and small create enhanced shareholder value through a combination of business strategy, practical application, and technical aptitude. Gilyard Group provides a suite of full life-cycle consulting services; discovers, develops, implements, delivers, and markets innovative technology solutions in a variety of sectors.
Mr. Gilyard is responsible for shaping the firm's corporate strategy, business development plans, assisting with forming partnerships, managing sales and operations, and recruiting highly-qualified, experienced consultants, while providing Project Management consulting and IT Project Management for major telecommunications providers, small businesses, and Fortune 500 firms.
Prior to founding the company, Mr. Gilyard served as Project Manager for Lucent Technologies, Inc on the BellSouth Customer Delivery Organization (CDO) in Atlanta, GA, where he was responsible for managing the deployment of numerous SONET migration telecommunications projects for a global communications provider. Before that, he worked at Hazen and Sawyer, P.C. in New York City, where he was responsible for the coordination of internal and external marketing communications and client proposals.
In terms of volunteer work, Mr. Gilyard has been actively involved in youth development. He has developed curricula and programs, and coordinated activities for various community outreach organizations in the Greater Atlanta metro area. He has also served as a speaker for various educational programs and initiatives in the Chicago and Atlanta metro areas.
